EndNote XI now available

The latest edition of the citation management software EndNote is now available to be borrowed from the library. EndNote is only available on CD-ROM. It cannot be downloaded. To obtain an EndNote CD simply go to the Issues desk at any branch of the Library. At present only Windows CDs are available.

The main difference from earlier editions is the ability to create groups of references on a similar subject. Existing EndNote libraries can easily be transferred from EndNote X to EndNote XI.

Mauricio, the Unitec licence does cover Mac versions, but we won't be offering them until the technical problems are fixed. You're right that EndNote XI for Mac does exist, but at the moment it won't work with Word 2008. EndNote is working on a solution and when the new version becomes available we will have it.
