Library changes from 2 December onwards


The Building One Library will be relocated on Monday 2 December onwards.
  • The library resources for design and architecture are planned to be available in b180 Te Puna from 9 December onwards
  • The library resources for performing and screen arts are planned to be available in b202 rm1010 from 9 December onwards

All resources remain searchable through the Library’s catalogue but location changes may take a couple of days to update in the system. If you wish to access items in transit or in our storage area please talk to our Library Customer Service/Ask Me team (phone 0800 10 75 10) or login to LibrarySearch and request the item by following the steps here: https://guides.unitec.ac.nz/librarysearchhelp/requestbooks

Summer hours for 2019-2020



From 23 November Unitec Library/Ask Me services will be operating on summer hours.

Staff are available at both Te Puna and Waitākere from Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm.

After Hours Returns slots 

  • When the library is closed, you can still return your items through the After Hours Returns slots. Items returned through these slots will be checked in before the library is open next.
  • Laptops and short loan items must be returned to the desk where it was issued.

Te Puna library – After hours returns boxes are located outside the Student Central, at the West Entrances next to Break time.

Waitākere library – Use Waitākere Public library after-hours returns slot at level 1.

Building 1 library – The returns slot is inside Building 1 past the exhibition hall or foyer beside the library doors.

Note: Building 1 library will close from Monday 2 December onwards. Return all items from Building 1 library to Te Puna (B180) library.

PASA students will have access to B202-1010 from 9 December for resources related to their subject area. These resources should be returned to the box in B202.
