Support for laptop/software needs
Laptops are no longer available for short loan from Unitec libraries. We encourage you to bring your own laptop/device to Unitec and use the wifi available in our student spaces.

Distance and Inter-library loans services have resumed from today
Kia ora e te whānau,
We have resumed our distance services and full Inter-library loans services i.e. both print books and article requests from today, Thursday 11/06/2020.
- For Distance services, use the distance requests form to request for Unitec books and these will be sent to you by standard post. For any queries email: distance@unitec.ac.nz More details are here for our Distance students.
- For Inter-library loans services, use either the Article request form or Book request form to request for materials not held in the Unitec Library collections, and we can request for materials on your behalf from other libraries and institutions
within NZ or from overseas. For any queries, email: interloans@unitec.ac.nz More details are here for Unitec staff and students using our interloans service.

Unitec library spaces are re-opening
Unitec library spaces are re-opening in line with the campuses.
Staffing at the libraries are currently:
These hours may change without notice. For the most up to date information including building opening hours check hours page on the website.
There are no laptops available for loan from the library. Please contact studentsupport@unitec.ac.nz for assistance with equipment needs.
Returning your library items
Items may now be returned (although note that most items are not due back until 28 July). At Mt Albert Campus please use the external book returns bins near the main entrances of B180 (Te Puna Student Hub), or when the building is open use the returns slot by the stairs on the Red Lecture theatre side. At Waitākere, you may return from 8 June, to the public library or Unitec library on B520 Level 3.
Requesting books and other items
If you request an item you can now select a library location or ‘Online Support’. Online support is how you opt for Click and Collect, and you will be contacted by our Subject Librarians and be emailed when item is ready to collect. Alternatively if you choose to pick up your items from the library location you will just get an automated notice when it is ready to collect and you will need to locate the item on the hold shelf (under your surname) and issue the item to yourself via the self-check.
Group study rooms are available.Due to social distancing requirements, please limit the number of people in your group to 50% of stated room capacity, and keep a record of who is in your group.
