Fiji Language Week 2016 at Unitec Library

Fiji Language Week 2016 at Unitec Library

Ni sa bula! Come celebrate Fiji Language Week - Macawa Ni Vosa Vakaviti 2016 with Unitec Library. The theme for this year is:

‘Noqu vosa, me’u bula taka’ - My Language, Learn it, Speak it, Live it!

This will run from Monday 3rd October to Sunday 9th October 2016 to coincide with Fiji’s 46th Independence Day celebrations. This week is a chance for all New Zealanders to celebrate Fijian culture and language. Fijian is an Austronesian language with many different dialects spoken in the nation consisting of more than 300 islands located in the South Pacific.

Unitec Library has resources both in print and electronic to help you learn and become familiar in Fijian language. Check out the Unitec Library catalogue and our Pacific subject guide.

Come in and see our displays!

Use the hashtags #FijiLanguageWeek and #VosaVakaviti to follow the events on social media.
