Today, Thursday 13 August, Proquest, will be performing critical maintenance on their systems.  Proquest Science Journals will be unavailable from 2pm - 4 pm.

System Outage - LibrarySearch function

Due to a planned maintenance activity on our library management system from 3am to 6 am Sunday 9 August, some LibrarySearch functions may be unavailable during the time of the maintenance activity.

Database Outage - ProQuest

On Sunday 9th August one of our database vendors, Proquest, will be upgrading their system which will mean that Proquest Science Journals will be unavailable for around 8 hours from 2pm-10pm.

Group Study Room Booking System Link Changed

Due to problem with the Unitec web server the Library's group study room booking system has been moved to another server and the URL link of the system has been changed to: http://studyroombookings.unitec.ac.nz/day.php 

If you use the link to "Book a Group Study Room" on the homepage of the Library website please refresh (ctrl F5) the homepage to bring in the new link.

If you made a room booking before 31/07/2015 please check it is on the new system. If your booking was not transferred please redo your booking.

Databases Outage - ScienceDirect and Scopus

Two of our databases (ScienceDirect and Scopus) will be unavailable due to a scheduled maintenance this weekend. The outage will start at 10:00am Sunday 2nd Aug and last for about 4.5 hours until around 2:30pm. 

Mendeley (a referencing software) may also be impacted.

Pay your library fines and fees via internet banking

You can pay overdue fines or the replacement fee for your lost library book via internet banking. Just enter details into your internet banking payment system as follows:

Particulars*:	Enter either Your Unitec ID Number (eg 1406568 ) OR Your Unitec username an example of a student username = millej15 an example of a staff username= jmiller

Reference*:	Your name (The field is limited to 12 characters. If your name is longer abbreviate the first name to one letter, eg J MILLER).

*Important Notes:

• It is very important to include the particulars, code and reference above so the staff in Unitec accounts know what the payment is for and we can reconcile payments with our library system.
• If you pay by internet banking there may be delay of several days before your payment shows on your Library record. This is because we have to check the payments in Unitec finance system and then manually enter them into our Library system. We hope to have a more automated procedure in the future.
